A New Beginning
On 31 October, 2025 my wife and I packed up our lives and said farewell to the United States of America. We spent a couple of weeks in her home country of England before hopping onto yet another plane to Athens, Greece. This decision was just as exciting as it was scary. All of a sudden our “unknowns” multiplied exponentially and there’s a language barrier to boot. But really it was the best choice for our family, so we’re embracing the excitement and leaning in with our whole hearts.
To celebrate this transition, I guess, I got a haircut. Not really anything earth shattering, but it was my first time at a barber in a country relatively foreign to me. And to commemorate the whole thing I did two self portraits sketches in my little sketchbook. I think the differences in my general demeanor are pretty striking on the page. It feels good to be pampered for a few minutes at the barber, doesn’t it. And it did wonders for my confidence and general outlook as my wife and I head into a new stage of life together.
